Pythagoras was known as “the father of math and music” by his disciples, the Pythagoreans. They were inspired by his teachings, and they considered him a demigod.
The Pythagoreans met in secret to discuss mathematical discoveries, findings, and secrets. Only members of the Pythagorean society were admitted to the secret meetings.
The emblem of the Pythagoreans was the pentagram. Each member had one engraved in his hand. Pythagoras discovered that the pentagram was filled with mathematics. The first two shorter lines exactly equaled the third. The second and third line exactly equaled the fourth.
