Term Papers on Macbeth
Macbeth In the tragic drama MacBeth, written by William Shakespeare in 1606, the main character, MacBeth, constantly declines in his level of morality until his death, at the end of the play. Throughout the story, temptation to become the King of England causes him to commit illegal acts, in brutally killing and ordering the deaths of certain individuals, including his friends. However, MacBeth was one who is morally weak, being extremely vulnerable to manipulative individuals such as Lady MacBeth. He has a fatal attraction for the supernatural and is fascinated by works of the witches: "Present fears are less than horrible imagi! nings… and nothing is but what is not." So far, we have seen that MacBeth is a brave, courageous and loyal person who is considered very highly by others. From this character analysis we can not make any assumptions about MacBeth being a butcher. However, we have realised that MacBeth is morally weak. Meaning that he has little conscience; he has not the ability to distinguish between good and bad. MacBeth is susceptible to th... This is ONLY a preview of the article.
