The 5th Amendment

Dear Dallas Daily Gazette,
     I am deeply touched by your feature on the newest amendment.  This amendment states that it is every person's God given right to have the option of coming out and admitting his/her guilt.  If the criminal is truly sorry for their crime, they are a free man/woman.
     I commend President Chelsea Clinton for the passage of this law.  In three years, there will be no need for jails anymore!  This will cut state taxes an estimated 22 percent.  
Already, this right has been exercised.  Yesterday, history was made in a small courtroom in the Marshall County Courthouse in Alabama.
     "Praise the Lord!" exclaimed a relieved 26-year-old Corneilius Tucker as his lawyer, Johnny Money, accompanied him out of the courtroom.  Tucker was being tried for the brutal slaying of five children on November the 24th.
Earlier Tucker explained to the judge, "Yeah, I killed those five kids and I made them suffer for the pain their great grandparents caused my ancestors and their brothers.  I slowly broke every bone in each one of their bodies, making sure that the others' eyes were glued open with a strong epoxy in order to watch their brothers and sisters suffer.  I studied the different colors I could make their faces turn until I reached my peak of pleasure when each one of them died.  I quickly downed some whiskey and then threw their bodies into the Tennessee River.  After some deep soul-searching, I guess I realized it was wrong.  I should of thought before I killed them but, oh well, life goes on.  I'd like to once again, just to be clear, state that I'm sorry for what I did."
