Albert Einstein Topic: Albert Einstein Specific Purpose: Inform the audience on many of the great things Einstein did throughout his life. Thesis Statement: Albert Einstein is known as one of the greatest scientist of all time. You will know this after I tell you about some of the things he accomplished during his life. Introduction: How many people know who Albert Einstein is? Most everybody in here should know who he is. Albert Einstein was a very great scientist, who came up with many great things, including the theory of relativity, the theory of specific heats and he formulated the equation e=mc2. In the next few minutes I will inform you on more of the great things that Einstein did throughout his life as one of the greatest scientist of all time. I. Early life A. Einstein was born in Ulm Germany in 1879 to Mr. And Mrs. Hermann and Pauline Einstein. B. In 1895, Albert attempts to skip high school by taking an entrance exam to the Swiss Polytechnic, but he fails the art portion of the test and therefore he is forced to finish high school. 1. His family sends him to Aarau to finish high school. 2. He graduates from high school in 1896 at the age of 17. C. In 1901 Albert meets Mileva and a year later she gives birth to their daughter, Lieserl who is later put up for adoption. 1. In 1903 Albert and Mileva get married. 2. In 1904 Mileva gives birth to their first son, Hans Albert. 3. In 1910 there second son, Eduard is born. D. In 1902-1909 Einstein worked at the Bern patent office as a third class technical expert. He is later promoted to second class expert. E. In 1905 Einstein wrote a total of three papers, the first was on the "Electrodynamics of Moving Bodies", he applies his theory to mass and energy and formulates the equation e=mc2. 1. His second paper was on "Special Theory of Relativity" The special theory of relativity states that the speed of light would be the same for all observers in relative uniform motion. 2.
