War

War what is war? And how has war changed the world we live in? War according to the Webster’s intermediate dictionary A state or period of armed hostile conflict between states, nations, or groups.  To many people when the word war is mentioned it brings a negative response.  When people think of war they picture fires, deaths, and destruction.  It is logical for people to think in that way because in the course of history war has started many fires killed many live and destroyed many great cities.  Although war has done those terrible things to the human civilization, but it also has a positive side. You might think I am a demented to think that war has a positive side. War has stimulated great advancements in technology, growth in economy, and war has also brought unification.

Great advancement in technology happened because of war. For example during World War 2 the Axis and Ally powers tried to design the faster and more maneuverable plane so it can have the advantage over the other planes in Ariel combat.  During the end of World War 2 Germany was desperate for a super weapon to turn the tide of the war.  In that desperation the Jet was invented.  Although the jets of Germany enter the war too late to help stop the Ally advancement, it totally revenlutionlized aviation.  Because of the invention of the jet now people can travel from point A to point B faster then the speed of sound.
War also has brought economical growth and prosperity. For example the Romans, who conquered what was the known world, had brought economic growth to their conquered nations.  The conquered nations were unified under Roman rule.  The unification promoted trade between different areas of the vast Roman Empire thus creating a better economy with in the Roman Empire.  Also during World War 1 the factories that produced military vehicles and equipment needed more workers thus created many jobs.  Because of those jobs the living standard of American family went up.

The last point I have to make to show how war can be positive is that peace needs war to be keeped.  It might sound like an ocss moron but it is true, for example peace in the Middle East was disturbed.  Iraq headed by Sadam Hussein attacked and invaded Kawate in 1991.  The UN council decided that peace must be brought back by declaring war on Sadam Hussein.  The war Desert Storm was won by UN forces with minimal casuitys and brought peace back to the Middle East.  The positives sides of war have benefited the human civilization but it coast the lives of more then a billions souls.  Maybe someday in the future wars would be fought without the lost of human life maybe with robots or remoted control vehicles. I look forward to the day when the positives aspects of war will benefit man without the expensive price of a single human life. ...
