Creative Writing Before the existence of man, the animals could talk. They were the original inhabitants of earth and the ancestors of mankind. They were intelligent and helped with many of the creations of earth. In the beginning, there was no sun or moon. No one could see except the owl, who had light from his eyes to see from. Coyote hunted all day long but could only find a few bugs to eat. Eagle went to visit Coyote who was sitting near his den. Coyote apologized for not having any food to share and Eagle took pity on him. They decided to go hunting together. When hunting, Eagle did all the killing and Coyote ate all the leftovers. Eagle complained, and Coyote defended himself, saying that it was too dark, and they needed more light. Eagle agreed. Eagle had heard of two big lights--the sun and the moon--hiding far off in the West. The two friends set off to find the lights, and headed West. After a while it grew lighter around ...
