Albert Einstein
Albert Einstein was known to be one of, if not the smartest scientist on earth. Einsteinšs beliefs and theories were scientifically advanced and ahead of his time. Einstein was especially known for his theory of relativity.
Einstein was born on March 14, 1879 in Ulm Wurttemburg, Germany. Einsteins parents, Hermann and Paulina Kochwho were nonobservant Jews, moved to Munich when Einstein was only an infant. When Einstein was five his father gave him a compass. Young Einstein was amazed because no matter which way you turned it, it appeared to always stay pointing in the same direction. His later words were that there was ŗsomething deeply hidden had to be behind things˛.
At this time Einstein decided to become a German citizen. After public school in Munich and in Aarau, Switzerland,Einstein failed an exam that would have allowed him to recieve adiploma as an electrical engineer at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology. The next year he enjoyed a year at nearby Aarau secondary school. Here,he was educated by excellent teachers and first rate facilities in physics. In 1896 Einstein returned to the Zurich Polytechnic, where four years later he graduated as a secondary school teacher of Mathmatcs and physics.
