            Christopher Ashton Kutcher, now a famous actor, was once a normal Iowan. He was born on February 7th, 1978 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. His twin brother was born about five minutes after him. When Ashton was 13 years old his brother had to undergo heart transplant surgery, which went smoothly. This medical emergency Ashton’s life and he later enrolled in the University of Iowa, where he studied biochemical engineering.

            When Ashton was fifteen, his mother and her soon-to-be second husband moved to Homestead, Iowa, which was a relatively small farming community. Ashton excelled in sports throughout high school, but developed an overbearing interest in theater. His first production was “The Crying Princess and the Golden Goose” in 7th grade. He had a difficult choice in high school to choose sports or acting.
