Crime and Punishment in Saudi Arabia
On July 26, 1984, a Kuwaiti man was arrested for being in connection with a terrorist bombing in Mecca. He was sentenced to twenty years in prison and, was also given a punishment of one-thousand five-hundred floggings over the course of his stay (Metz 284). That is seventy-five floggings a day, a harsh but understandable penalty.
As one can see, the laws of Saudi Arabia greatly differ from those of America.
